“You’re so sensitive!”
“You’re too nice to be a journalist [or other career where you’re not allowed to show feelings.]”
“Why do you care so much what others think?”
As a sensitive soul, I’ve heard these things all my life.
When I was younger, I didn’t have the resilience or confidence to rise above it. So I stayed small, anxious about my introverted nature, and always judging everything I did or said out in the world.
Friendships were intense. I absorbed the energies of others. And while I was a great writer, the newsroom did turn out to be too much for me.
It’s taken ‘til now to see my sensitivities as strengths. To celebrate my empathy. And to forgive Little Me for feeling so utterly overwhelmed by the world.
And now, I’m building a beautiful business around it all. To support other sensitive souls, empaths, introverts to make their impact in their own way. To make friends with their mind, and thrive in life without pretending to be anyone but their wonderful, complete selves.
Being sensitive is a gift.
And I feel it’s my purpose to use mine to help others rediscover theirs.
If this resonates with you and you’d like to chat, send me a message and we can pop a time in the diary, you brilliant sensitive soul you! xx
